Lindiwe holds a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Industrial Psychology and Philosophy from the University of the Witwatersrand and completed the New Managers Program from Wits Business School focused on Business Management.
Her studies include postgraduate Introduction to Mining Engineering with WITS University school of mining.
She is currently participating in the Advanced Directorship Programme with Sirdar and completed a Women in Leadership course with University Stellenbosch Business in April 2021.
She was also instrumental in ensuring that more female speakers and panelists are added onto platforms such as the AFRICA MINING INDABA 2019, where the conference celebrated being the first mining conference to have 35% of its speakers and panelists as well as moderators being women!
Beyond the mining sector, she has been the founder and co-founder of numerous businesses and organizations, including:
- Co-founder of a successful and influential recruitment agency within the Supply Chain Management industry called The People Shop.
- Founder of Shekinah Academy of Arts, an arts extramural activities school teaching dance, music and fine arts. This is a “heart” project for her as it’s a part of her life’s passion for exposing children in the townships to the arts, having been exposed to things like music and ballet herself.
Her passion is driving diversity and inclusion in the mining sector to ensure that we reach gender equality.
